How to Start Building your own Therapeutic Wellness Package (Part 5: the First Lane Change)

Okay! Part 5 is about putting into action everything you’ve learned in the first 4 parts! Are you ready? Excited even? Well, here are a few things to remember:

  1. It’s up to you to get started and you can go as slow as you need to until you feel ready to tackle the present experience.
  2. wUpiiwUgo.
  3. Even 1 degree of change can make quite a difference. (Uchtdorf’s flight)
  4. By an inch it’s a cinch, but by the yard it’s hard. Don’t go full bore, pick one VERY small thing that you know you can achieve – it will give you confidence and allow you to keep progressing.
  5. Stop feeling shame about things you enjoy and start fully enjoying them. Diet DP and TV. Check those off your list of things to change or fix – makes list less daunting too – though you won’t get over them feeling like things to fix automatically and might have to keep reminding yourself you’re okay there.
  6. Changing too many things at once removes your ability to know which variables worked and which didn’t- hygge caterpillar (some things didn’t work, versions of them did. Had to start switching out parts of life that no longer served me well so I could implement new bits that brought joy. Had to stop given it away to succubus’)
